The Antioch District Missionary Baptist Association
Current Goals and Mission
The most important example of complete surrender occurred in the garden of Gethsemane. The bible highlights this example in Matthew 26, Mark 14, and Luke 22. After the Last Supper, Jesus went to the garden to pray. It was the night before his crucifixion. In Matthew 26: 37, we learn that Jesus began to be “sorrowful and troubled” (NIV).
Our mission is consistent with those of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America. Our mission statement is:
The National Missionary Baptist Convention of America shall serve as an agency of spiritual empowerment by engaging in:
- Missions and Evangelism
- Christian Education
- Biblical Doctrine
- Church Growth
- Social and Economic Development
as functions of our Convention and models for our member churches and messengers.
Vision Statement
Our Vision is to edify our member churches, the nation, and the world through the wise use of our spiritual gifts, intellectual ability, and financial resources for the glory of God.
